You may notice that certain words — like "pee" — get flagged as banned keywords in your titles or descriptions, even though the content itself is permitted on the platform. Here's why, and what to do about it.
Content rules vs. wording rules
Two different sets of rules apply:
- What you can film — set by our billing partners' content guidelines. For example, urine content is currently permitted (see Is urine content ("watersports") allowed?).
- What words can appear in titles and descriptions — billers and card networks also restrict certain terms in the marketing text around content, independent of whether the content itself is allowed. That's why a word can be flagged while the content is fine.
What happens when a word is flagged
The system checks your titles and descriptions against the banned-words list and flags matches so you can reword them before they cause problems with billing review or promotion. A flag isn't a judgment on your content — it's a heads-up about the text.
What to do
- Reword the title or description using alternative phrasing — creative wording that avoids the flagged term.
- The content itself doesn't need to change — only the text around it.
- Not sure how to phrase something, or think a word is flagged in error? Contact support and we'll advise.
The banned-words list follows our billing partners' current requirements and is updated as their policies change.
