The Site → Preview page is your site's control room: update your site to the latest platform version, and manage the demo access you use to view and share your site before launch.
Updating your site
We regularly ship improvements and new features to the platform. Click Update Site to refresh your site and apply the latest platform improvements — no technical steps, and your content and design settings are untouched. The update runs in the background; the page shows its current status while it works.
Quicker way: there's now an update button right in your dashboard sidebar. When a new version is available you'll see "Update available" — click it and the update runs from wherever you are (it shows "Updating site…" while it works). Check for updates regularly so your site keeps getting the latest features.
Tip: if a recent design change doesn't seem to be showing, an update/refresh from this page is usually the fix.
Demo access: viewing your site before launch
Until your site is fully approved, it runs in Demo mode: visitors who open your domain see a password screen instead of your site. The Preview page shows your Demo Access credentials — use the password to view your site exactly as it will appear to the public, and share it with anyone you'd like to give a sneak peek (a collaborator, a friend, your own second device).
You'll also find your Members Area link and login details here, so you can check the logged-in member experience too.
Why is my site still in Demo mode?
This is the important part: your site stays in Demo mode until it has been approved — not just by our review team, but by the billing companies and banks that process your members' payments.
Here's the journey:
- You submit your site for review from your setup checklist. Submitting doesn't take your site live — it starts the process.
- Our team reviews your site and documents, including 2257 paperwork, in batches.
- Domain and DNS setup is completed.
- We submit your site to the bank for approval. Banks must approve every new site before payments can be accepted — a standard compliance step that happens outside our platform, so it adds waiting time we can't skip.
- The bank approves, and the Paysite team removes demo mode and takes your site live.
Note that approval alone doesn't mean your site has launched — it goes live when we remove demo mode in that final step. So if your site is still behind the demo password after you've submitted, that's normal. You'll be notified when it's live.
While you wait
- Keep uploading — launching with a solid content library makes your first impression count.
- Fill your Upcoming queue with scheduled scenes.
- Polish your design using the demo password to check every page.
- Line up your launch posts on X so you're ready the moment Demo mode lifts.
