The announcement bar is a strip across your site carrying one message — a sale, a new release, a live show, a schedule change. You create one announcement and choose where and when it appears.
Setting it up
- Go to Announcements in your dashboard.
- Turn on Enable announcement and write your announcement message.
- Choose where it should appear:
- Tour — your public site, seen by visitors who haven't joined.
- Members area — where members sign in.
- Both.
- Optionally add a link to make the whole bar clickable — a full
https://address or a site path like/join. Leave it blank for a message-only bar. - Save. Your site updates within about 30 seconds.
Scheduling
When should it start showing?
- As soon as I save
- At a specific date and time
When should it stop showing?
- Keep showing until I turn it off
- Stop showing at a specific time
Countdown
You can add a countdown that ticks down to your stop time — the announcement hides itself automatically when it's reached. This is the natural partner to a limited-time offer: the bar creates the urgency, the offer captures it.
Status
Your announcement shows as Draft, Scheduled, Active, or Ended so you always know what visitors are seeing.
Tips
- Keep it to one short sentence — the bar is narrow, especially on phones.
- Always link it somewhere. An announcement fans can't act on is wasted.
- Set a stop time when you create it, so an old promo never lingers on your site.
