You published a scene, tagged it for a page, or made an edit — and your site still shows the old version. Your sidebar has two fixes for this. Start with Clear Cache; if that doesn't do it, use Refresh Site Content.
Clear Cache — the quick fix
In your dashboard sidebar, near the bottom, click Clear Cache and confirm. It clears the cached pages for the site you're working on, and you'll see a success notification when it's done.
Your site keeps ready-made copies of its pages so it loads fast for visitors. When you change something, the cached copy can keep being served for a while — your new video is there, it's just hiding behind an older snapshot of the page.
Once every 5 minutes
Cache clearing is limited to once every 5 minutes per site. If you click it and don't get the success notification, you've most likely cleared it recently — wait 5 minutes and try again. (The earlier clear probably already worked, so check your page first.)
Refresh Site Content — the deeper fix
If clearing the cache didn't help, click Refresh Site Content in the sidebar and confirm with Refresh Now.
This re-syncs everything from your admin to your live site — scenes, performers, categories — and clears the cache as part of the job. Use it when your site is missing content that definitely exists in your admin, rather than just showing a stale version of a page.
- It runs in the background and usually takes a few minutes.
- Your site stays online the whole time — visitors aren't interrupted.
- The button shows "Refreshing Content…" and is disabled until the job finishes, so you can't accidentally start a second one.
- If someone else (or another tab) already started a refresh, yours will pick up that job's status instead of starting a new one.
Which one do I need?
- Clear Cache — a page is showing an older version of itself. Instant, and the right first move.
- Refresh Site Content — scenes, performers, or categories are missing from your site entirely. Slower, but it rebuilds the connection between your admin and your site.
The fix, in order
- Click Clear Cache and confirm.
- Hard-refresh your browser on the site page: Ctrl+Shift+R (Windows) / Cmd+Shift+R (Mac) — your own browser keeps its own cached copy too.
- Still missing? Click Refresh Site Content, wait a few minutes, then check again.
If it's still not showing
- Confirm the scene is published (not scheduled for a future date) and finished encoding — see My site looks empty — publishing your scenes.
- If it should appear on a category page or custom section, confirm the scene is tagged with that category (quick edit → categories).
- Still stuck? Open your profile menu (top-right) → Contact Us with the scene title and the page where it should appear — we'll dig in.
