Deleting a scene no longer means it's gone forever. Deleted scenes go to Trash (Recently Deleted), where you can bring them back.
Restoring a scene
- Go to Content → Scenes.
- Switch to the Trash / Recently Deleted view.
- Find the scene and choose restore.
It returns to your library with its details intact. Check its publish status afterward — see My site looks empty — publishing your scenes.
Deleting permanently
From the Trash view you can also delete permanently. That one is final — the scene and its files can't be recovered afterward, so use it only when you're certain.
Disabling instead of deleting
If you just want something off your site temporarily, don't delete it — set it to Unpublished instead. It stays in your library, keeps its views and stats, and goes back up with one click. There's also a disable with reason option when you want a record of why something was taken down.
Good habits
- Empty your trash deliberately, not reflexively — there's no cost to leaving things there.
- Before permanently deleting, download anything you might want later.
- Using bulk delete? Double-check your selection first — see Bulk actions: editing many scenes at once.
