Uploading a video takes a couple of minutes — then our system does the heavy lifting so your content plays perfectly on every device.
Start an upload
- Go to Content → Scenes and start a new upload.
- Choose your video file. Common formats like MP4 and MOV all work, and large files are fine — the uploader sends your file in many parallel pieces, so it's fast even for big videos.
- Follow the short 3-step flow described below.
Step 1 — Title
Give your scene a title, or turn on the AI Writing Assistant and leave it blank — the assistant will write a title for you automatically once your video finishes processing. You can always edit it later.
Step 2 — Thumbnail (optional)
Upload a custom thumbnail now (JPEG, PNG, GIF, or WebP, up to 10MB), or skip this step — we automatically generate thumbnails from your video, and you can pick your favorite afterward. See Thumbnails and trailers.
Step 3 — Trailer (optional)
Add a short preview video that visitors can watch before joining. Any video format works, up to 500MB — it's automatically converted for the web.
What happens after upload
Once the upload finishes, processing starts automatically:
- Your video is converted into multiple quality levels so it streams smoothly on phones, tablets, and desktops.
- Thumbnails are generated automatically.
- Details like duration and resolution are filled in for you.
You can watch the progress bar on the Scenes page. Processing time depends on the length and size of your video — you don't need to keep the page open once the upload itself is complete.
Publish now or schedule for later
Each scene has a status and a publish date. Publish immediately, save as a draft, or schedule a future release — scheduled scenes can appear on your site's Upcoming section to build anticipation.
Finishing touches
After processing, open the scene's quick edit to add a description, tag performers and categories, set a pay-per-view price, or brand it with your watermark. See Branding your content with watermarks and intros.
