Downloads can be another income stream rather than a free extra. The Downloadables page sets one download policy that applies to every published scene on your site.
Choosing your download policy
Go to Downloadables in your dashboard and pick one of three options:
- Off — only members who already purchased a scene can download it.
- Premium — premium members can download every scene. Other members are prompted to upgrade. (Requires an active Premium plan.)
- Purchase — members buy download access one scene at a time using the token checkout. You set the price per scene.
The policy itself applies site-wide to published scenes. The price can be overridden on individual scenes — see below.
Pricing downloads
With the purchase option you set a price from your available token price points, and that price applies to every scene. If the page says no active prices are available, set up your token packages first — see Earning from chat: paid messages and token packages.
Charging a different price for one scene
Some scenes are worth more than others. You can override the site price on any individual scene:
- Go to Content → Scenes.
- Find the scene's download price — it's shown on the same line as its other pricing (for example "Price: $4 · $3 members · $5 download").
- Click it and choose a price, or pick Site default to go back to following the Downloadables price.
Scenes using a custom price are marked as such, so you can tell at a glance which ones you've changed. Changing the site price in Downloadables moves every scene except the ones you've overridden.
When you won't see a download price
- Your download policy isn't set to Purchase. Per-scene prices only exist when members buy downloads individually — there's nothing to price under the Off or Premium policies.
- The scene is pay-per-view. Buying a VOD scene already includes its download, so it shows "Download included with VOD" instead of a price.
- The scene is photos only. Download prices apply to video scenes.
Seeing what downloads earn
Downloads are reported separately from pay-per-view, so you can tell the two revenue streams apart:
- Reports → Downloads — what's being downloaded and by whom, plus your top downloaders.
- Reports → Purchases — scene purchases, kept separate from downloadables.
Which policy should you choose?
- Premium turns downloads into a reason to upgrade — good if you want to push your higher tier.
- Purchase earns from every download, including from members who'd never upgrade.
- Off keeps things simplest and still rewards people who bought a scene outright.
After changing the policy, give your site a moment to update — if the old behavior sticks, clear your cache.
